In such a large family SUV segment, it’s hard to be the best. The Outlander is one of those just-okay cars that hides in the shadows. It is slated to get a redesign next year, so hopefully it will rise somewhere near the top.

Pros
- Beautiful Interior
So, the interior is nice, but watch out for the infotainment. It's outdated (big-time).

- Surprisingly Spacious
The outlander is smaller than some other competitors, but it actually has some space.

- Affordable
It starts at $24,895, and you can find hundreds of used Outlanders that are up-to-date, so if you're in a hurry, it would be a good choice.

Cons
- Boring, Outdated Design
Mitsubishi put too much style on the front fascia, so it just looks wrong. Also, Mitsubishi's latest design puts the Outlander behind, so just wait for the 2021 model.

- Outdated Infotainment
Its been around since 2015, so don't expect amazing tech. Try searching for the Kia Telluride, which is brand new.

- Horrible Powertrain
The Outlander lacks power, so maybe avoid it if you like horsepower and V8s. The Dodge Durango is a better choice, packing around 700 hp.

Is It Worth Buying?
The answer is simply no. It is outdated all around, and the only good things about it are fuel economy and cargo capacity. There are hundreds of better options out there, so check out the Kia Telluride, Hyundai Palisade, or Chevrolet Traverse instead.
