BMW's M division holds a variety of performance cars, from the X6 M coupe crossover, to the M8 sport car. The M2 Competition arguably is their coolest, most fun M model. The powerful engine, new yet classic styling, and simple interior come together to make a great enthusiast car.
Pros
- Fun, Thrilling Ride
The M2 Competition is focused on these two categories. The fun part comes from the classic feel and good pickup, and the thrill is the awesome straight-six engine.

- Classic BMW Styling
The little coupe keeps the original 2 Series in mind, as well as the cool M add-ons. The kidney grille is also nice and small (we're looking at you, 4 Series). Old and new mix perfectly in the M2 Competition.

- Great Engine
The BMW's 3.0 liter straight-six easily creates fun. It's a great engine by itself, but it is nothing compared to BMW's other M engines. Either way, anybody will love it.

Cons
- Infotainment Could Be Better
The BMW 2 Series lineup is not very new, and although the interior setup matches most new BMWs, the software isn't good enough. It feels like it needs more.

- Lack Of Trunk Space
The coupe-like styling is nice, but it cuts on truck space, like any other coupe. The seating area isn't the best in space either, but it's easy to work around.

- Just Not Enough Power
This M2 is not just any M2, but an M2 Competition. We think BMW should highlight the 'Competition' part a bit more with a better engine. That would better target Mercedes-AMG and Audi Sport.

Is It Worth Buying?
Totally. The BMW M2 Competition will entertain and excite any driver, any day. Although it has some flaws, that doesn't stop it from being a common dream car.
